Vol. 12 – Number 46 – 2021 FINANCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT Page 10-13 Generation Z and clinical practice focused on prevention Paulo Cesar Barbosa Rédua¹ Renato Barcellos Rédua² Abstract Nowadays we take care of a generation of children of the so-called “Millennial Mothers”, mothers of Generation Y, whose children today constitute the definitive Generation Z or iGen (aged between 9 and 26 years), mothers who have, among so many characteristics, a special care mainly with the children. Knowing the profile of this generation is essential to develop certain strategies to attract them and win their preference. Regarding eating habits, many of these patients eat irregular meals, skipped meals, are exposed to a large intake of sweets between meals and snacks, the use of fast food, soft drinks, low physical activity and more time spent on cellphone or virtual screens and so again we experience the increased risk of caries, periodontal disease and dental erosion. In this article, we outline communication strategies to enable health promotion with a focus on periodic prevention consultations of this generation.
