The Tweed-Merrifield Analysis in new format: how to use. 2008;1(1); 60-73. The didactic approach with graphic visualization may facilitate the use of an orthodontic analysis. Our objective was to show, in new visual format, the Differential Diagnosis Analysis System with the Diffi culty Index –The Tweed-Merrifield Analysis. The revision of the literature, study, development of a new format after approval of the scientific environment, description and application of the analysis was accomplished. As result was obtained a text about the analysis with illustration of the variables and application in graph and new tables exemplifi ed with a clinical case. The reformulated content of the Tweed-Merrifi eld analysis will facilitate the use and contributing to the differential diagnosis and planning and orientation of therapeutic conduct and benefi ting orthodontists and patients.
