The discrepancy between dental size and arch length is considered the most common cause of ectopic teeth. The present article illustrates an orthodontic treatment without extractions to correct a Class II malocclusion with severe crowding and ectopic canine. Treatment success and speed were a result of a mixture of techniques between the self-ligating system and the maxillary extra-alveolar mini-implant, enabling the correct occlusal relationships, with midline and severe upper crowding correction, and significant smile improvement. Descriptors: Mini-implant, self-ligating bracktes, ectopic teeth.   ¹ Master and Doctor – UNICAMP. ² Specialist in Orthodontics – CPO-FACSETE, Specialist in Endodontics – FOP. 3 Specialist in Orthodontics – CPO-FACSETE. 4 Master and PhD in Child and Adolescent Health – UFPE. 5 MSc and PhD Student in Orthodontics – SLM/Campinas-SP.   Dear Subscriber, This article will be available for download in January 2020.
