Materials and Methods: systematic bibliographic review, through the survey of national and international scientific publications, in the period from 2016 to 2021 in the following virtual databases: Google Scholar (Scholar), Pubmed, BVS (Virtual Health Library – Medline and Lilacs), using the terms hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and aging. 27 articles were found, of which 11 met the inclusion criteria. The following inclusion criteria were used: scientific publications with reports of aesthetic facial treatment using hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin combined, in the same treatment period. The exclusion criteria were publications that were not within the items reported above. Result and discussion: the combined approach of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin A showed high levels of better aesthetics and patient satisfaction. The efficacy indexes were evaluated using several scales that showed high scores in relation to the pre-treatment, with the result idealized by the patient: a natural, balanced and beautiful appearance. Conclusion: facial harmonization has grown considerably in recent years in relation to products and application techniques. Several studies have shown that the combined treatment of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin provided better results, being evidenced through scales applied by the professional and the patient’s self-assessment.
