There is little information about the correct indications for this approach, generating uncertainties in clinicians. Thus, the objective here was to perform a literature review and a series of cases of endocrowns, describing the characteristics of this type of restoration, clinical and laboratory behavior, available materials, and perspectives. Available evidence states that endocrowns adhesively cemented to the dental remnant may present clinically similar success to the traditional fullcoverage crown and pin approach. Clinical factors such as decreased interocclusal space, material, and tooth type should be considered in choosing this restorative treatment.
