Patients are increasingly looking for less invasive procedures, with low morbidity, fast recovery, at attractive prices and that meet their aesthetic concerns. One treatment option for facial ptosis is Russian barbed thread. In this clinical case report, we will demonstrate a technique used to reactivate Russian wires that were installed in a patient eight years ago. This patient had a recurrence of ptosis. In this case, we adapted the Serdev suture to pull the Russian wires again and fix them in the subperiostic region of the temporal muscle, bilaterally. The result was excellent, and we concluded that this technique is a great option to reactivate Russian wires when necessary.
