Thus, patients need to restore lost teeth to improve dental aesthetics, but mainly masticatory function. Thus, changes in the vertical dimension of occlusion are considered real challenges for dental surgeons, especially in cases of bruxist patients. Bruxism is characterized by the habit of grinding or squeezing the teeth, and the treatment consists of the use of interocclusal plaque to decrease and/or eliminate pain in the temporomandibular joint and to protect the teeth from the friction of excessive forces. The objective of this work is to demonstrate the clinical stages performed to recover the aesthetics and function of the dental structures affected by bruxism and loss of dental elements and to highlight the importance of the use of partial prosthesis in acrylic overlay (PPA) to act in a provisional way, in order to restore the vertical dimension until the moment of the final restorative treatment. In addition, the correct choice of materials and prosthetic laboratory associated with the mastery of the molding and cementing technique must be considered.
