Vol. 3 – Number 9 – 2021 Protocol Page 72-78 InttenceLift® protocol – an effective approach for lower eyelid rejuvenation and periorbicular area Roberta de Lucca¹ Abstract The area of the lower eyelids, and the entire periorbicular region, has always been a challenge when obtaining good results without the need for surgery. With the advancement of treatments to biostimulate collagen production, calcium hydroxyapatite was found to be an excellent option to treat flaccidity in this region. This substance is considered a synthetic injectable collagen biostimulator, known in Brazil by the trade names (Radiesse®) and (Rennova® Diamond Lido), and less known as Cientific (Vida Bella), Biocrystal (Biometil) and Hialurox Bio 350 Plus, all approved by the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (Anvisa). The composition of the various commercial brands are chemically very similar, the main composition of all brands is 30% CaHA, in the form of synthetic calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres, of uniform shape, ranging between 25 and 45 μm in diameter, and 70% of an aqueous carrier gel composed of sodium carboxymethylcellulose. Except for Cientific, which is presented in two different concentrations of 35% and 8%. The contents of the syringe in this protocol are hyperdiluted in serum, the microspheres, when applied, induce a fibroblast response, stimulating the formation of new collagen in the periorbital region.
