Materials and Methods: Preliminary, randomized, controlled study, carried out with nine volunteers who met the established criteria and had no contraindications, divided into three groups. G1, using only local ozone therapy at 25 μg; G2, only thecartherapy; G3, tecartherapy prior to ozone. Five sessions were held. Results: In the analysis of variance, there was no significant combined effect. But in terms of time, there was a significant reduction in the average of the final evaluation when compared to the initial moment in the independent variables of the group (values of the abdominal circumference 5 cm above the umbilicus (cm), values of the abdominal circumference 5 cm below the umbilicus (cm), plyometric right side to the umbilicus (mm), plyometric left side to the umbilicus (mm). There was a reduction in the three groups (G1: relative reductions of up to 19.3% of abdominal skinfold; G2: relative reductions of up to 9.4% of abdominal skinfold G3: relative reduction of 23.5% of abdominal skinfold Thus, G2, only tecartherapy had the worst performance and the group that combined ozone therapy with tecartherapy had better absolute and relative results. Conclusion: Both ozone therapy and tecartherapy can be used to reduce abdominal fat. However, the combination of treatments enhances the results. Descriptors: Ozone therapy, tecartherapy, localized fat, reduction. ¹ Graduated in Biomedicine – UES and in Nutrition – UNEB; Esp. in Aesthetic Biomedicine, Clinical Nutrition, Behavioral Nutrition and Master’s Prescription; PhD student in Gerontology – PUC/RS.
