Vol. 2 – Number 6 – 2021 Literature review Page 72-77 New World in Dentistry after COVID-19 Juliana Silveira de Almeida¹ Allyssia Vitória Souza da Silva¹ Ana Karina Fonseca de Carvalho Calderan Correa² ABSTRACT The purpose of this work is to evaluate, through a recent bibliographic review, the main clinical characteristics of the disease caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), its routes of transmission and to address how the Surgeon – Dentist (CD) can identify the suspected patients and , mainly, to present preventive measures of biosafety in order to control and to minimize the contagion of this infection in the dental service. The new normal will need adaptations of dental techniques and new general recommendations, which will be part of everyday life from now on. A bibliographic search was performed in the PUBMED database with the keywords: Coronovirus, Biosafety and Dentistry, Covid-19, between January and April 2020. Articles with full versions, in English, Portuguese, and Spanishi were used as inclusion criteria.
