They affect about 42.5% of facial trauma. The method to be chosen for treatment depends on several factors, such as the displacement and comminution of bone fragments, the presence of malocclusion, local muscle action, the age of the patient and the skill of the surgeon. This study aims to report a case of bilateral fracture of the mandible in the left body and right angle, treated through rigid internal fixation and Champy technique. This approach proved to be effective and safe in this treatment, in addition to avoiding anti-aesthetic scars and lesions to adjacent structures. A postoperative result of 3 months is presented. Descriptors: Mandibular fractures, facial trauma, internal fixation of fractures. ¹ Resident in CTBMF – HUOC/UPE – Recife/PE. ² Dr. e Esp. in CTBMF – UPE – Recife/PE, Coordinator of the Residency Program in CTBMF – HUOC/UPE – Recife/PE.
