With the insertion of laser therapy in this context, this technology is used both in the preparation of the skin to be harmonized and after the procedure performed, as the laser has anti-inflammatory properties and stimulates cell renewal. The objective of this work is, through a literature review, to show the laser therapy applicability in the orofacial harmonization and to explain its mechanisms, as the emitted rays have a direct effect on the biological tissues that vary between the type of wave and the cells in question, resulting in the activation of microcirculation, production of new capillaries, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, in addition to stimulating cell growth and regeneration, and it can even be used for complications with botulinum toxin.
