Abstract
In view of the patient’s growing demand for aesthetic and harmonious results, dentists often resort to a multidisciplinary treatment, associating a lot of specialties to achieve clinical success. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the clinical relevance of ceramic laminates in upper anterior teeth associated with a periodontal approach. The patient is a woman, 25 years of age, with gingival smile. Her main complaint was the aesthetic aspect of her smile. Given the treatment options, digital case planning and diagnostic waxing were performed. Crown lengthening of the elements 15 to 25, tooth whitening and oral rehabilitation with porcelain laminate veneers in the elements 13 to 23 were chosen. The bisacrylic mock-up was used as a surgical guide for gingival plasty and flapless osteotomy, performed with piezoeletric. The tooth preparation was performed over the mock-up, guided by silicone guides previously made on the wax model. After the insertion of the retractor wire, molding was performed with addition silicone, the color was recorded and temporary bisacrylic tooth were placed. In another session, the laminates were tested and substrate was conditioned for cementation with resin cement. It was concluded that, in cases where there is gingival and dental aesthetic commitment, the association of periodontal and prosthetic techniques represents an excellent alternative for aesthetic rehabilitating treatment.
