Its incidence is approximately twice as high in females and may occur unilaterally or bilaterally. It is also considered that the most frequent etiological factors for dental impactions are heredity, endocrine disorders and syndromes with facial malformations, and the canine through its winding path of eruption is very prone to this disorder. It is worth noting that such dental elements play an important role in the establishment and maintenance of the form and function of the dentition, and its presence in the dental arch is fundamental for the establishment of a balanced dynamic occlusion, besides facial aesthetics and harmony. In this context, this paper aimed to present a clinical case of a young male patient with a canine impacted by vestibular, who was treated with the technique ¨Vertical Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access (VISTA) ¨ – Tunnel Access with Vertical Incision Subperiosteal. Concluding that even though it is new and with few studies about such mechanics, the technique V.I.S.T.A. was effective in traction the superior canine included by vestibular, being another means that the orthodontist can use to solve their cases. It is of extreme importance the role of the surgeon and evident the multidisciplinarity involved in the execution of the technique. Descriptors: Orthodontics. Impacted tooth.
