Working without a contract with patients today is very risky. We must have a contract, one that we call a “tightly tied” contract, for all clinical cases in any specialty with each patient. It becomes a principle for the good management of our business. Besides contracts, we must file physical and digital documents (photos, for example), because due to the complexity of our area of expertise, judges, lawyers, or patients are able to discuss cases on equal terms with us.

Because we are service providers in a biological area (in which responses and results differ from person to person), our patient is the consumer of these services, which constitutes a relationship, and in cases of legal dispute, the prosecuting attorney uses the Consumer Defense Code (CDC) to request possible damages.
