This study aimed to report a case of smile correction through clinical crown enlargement surgery in patients with gingival overgrowth by chronic inflammation. After orthodontic treatment, the patient’s fixed apparatus and all resinous fixation material with specific tips were removed, followed by rigorous dental polishing and gingival conditioning. Then, gingival surgery with internal bevel, osteotomy and osteoplasty via groove were performed to regulate the biological space. The results of this type of treatment brought the patient gingival health, satisfaction and improved self-confidence when exposing his smile.
