As for its nomenclature, different terms are used, considering their diversity of presentations, being also known as Gorlin’s cyst, odontogenic tumor of phantom cells, atypical ameloblastoma, Malherbe’s buccal tumor, calcifying and keratinizing odontogenic cyst, calcifying odontogenic tumor of phantom cells. Currently, WHO has defined it as a calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC). The central lesions do not present predilection for location, affecting both mandible and maxilla. Radiographic examinations of the intraosseous lesions are shown as a radiolucent, unilocular or multiloculated area, with defined limits and the presence of mineralized areas. It occurs in patients of all ages, with prevalence in the younger age group. The present case report presents a COC in a leucoderma patient, 22 years old, with radiographic features of a radiolucent cystic lesion with presence of dystrophic calcifications associated to an impacted canine. The treatment was complete enucleation of the cyst and the impacted element involved with the lesion.
