This study aimed to evaluate the bond strength generated by different surface treatments in feldspathic ceramic with resin cements using different bonding agents. Twenty-four feldspathic ceramic discs (Super porcelain EX-3, Noritake) were prepared and divided according to the bonding agent used: Group SAU – without application; Group SIL – applied silane (RelyX ceramics Primer, 3M ESPE); Group ADU – applied universal adhesive (Universal Bond Single, 3M ESPE); and Group SIL+ADU – silane and universal adhesive. For each sample, 4 cylinders of resin cements were made: RelyX ARC (RXA) (3M ESPE) and RelyX Ultimate (RXU) (3M ESPE), totaling 12 tubes of each cement per group. Then, they were submitted to the micro-shear test in the universal Series 23 EMIC assay (Instron Brasil) and microscopically verified the generated fracture pattern. The comparison between groups using RXA cement showed that using silane combined or not with the adhesive gave better results than the other groups (p=0,05). Using the same surface treatment, no significant difference was observed between the cements, except for Group SAU (p<0.05). It was concluded that using silane combined or not with universal adhesives improves the adhesion of some cements used in the cementation of feldspathic ceramics. When applied the same agent, there is no difference between the cements tested. Descriptors: Ceramics, adhesives, resin cements. ¹ CD, Graduated in Dentistry – ESFA. ² Me.
