Vol. 1 – Number 4 – 2020 Case report Page 14 Association of botulinium toxin and polydioxanone threads in the glabellar region Weider de Oliveira Silva¹ Paula Stéffani de Aguiar Duarte² ABSTRACT In recent years there has been a huge evolution in non-invasive techniques applied to facial rejuvenation. The greater knowledge about the anatomical changes involved in the action of aging was accompanied by an increasing advance in the way of addressing these changes also by the increase of substances and technologies used in this approach. Regarding countless techniques used for facial rejuvenation, currently, the polydioxanone threads (DOP) and botulinum toxin are gaining emphasis, especially when used in the treatment of the upper third of the face. It is presented throughout this paper the case of a young woman who was subjected to the use of DOP threads and botulinum toxin, with the aim of reducing the expression lines and wrinkles present in the frontal glabellar region, which is a region clearly known for the risks in the use of hyaluronic acid.
