Alterations in the deciduous and/or permanent dentition can occur, and this alteration can be classified in three ways: hypoplastic, hypocalcified, and hypomaturated. The affected tooth presents a color change to opaque white, yellow or brown, having an uneven surface and usually presenting sensitivity, a fact that makes hygiene difficult, making them more predisposed to caries disease. The objective of this work is to report a clinical case of imperfecta amelogenesis, describing the treatment performed with the use of facets performed on acetate plates. This clinical case demonstrates the importance of early diagnosis of imperfecta amelogenesis and intervention with resinous materials may be an excellent alternative in order to avoid functional, aesthetic, and psychological damages to patients affected by this alteration.
