Smile aesthetics is an important point in the individual self-image and may interfere in his interaction with society and self-esteem. Thus, when smile harmony is impaired, the child’s self-image may be altered, promoting marks on her personality that may be perpetuated until adulthood. This case study analyzed the interference of dental rehabilitation in two children that had impaired aesthetics, qualitatively measuring through psychoanalysis, the impact that the aesthetics factor can have on self-image during the childhood. Psychological analysis and oral aesthetics rehabilitation were used as methodology, and rehabilitation varied according to the needs of each case. At the end of the treatment it was concluded that the aesthetics dental rehabilitation provided to these children development of psychic-emotional balance, enabling them a better social life.
