Developmental abnormalities occur during tooth formation and acquired teeth result in tooth changes after normal formation. Radiographic examination can detect the presence of some of these types of dental anomalies. The aim of this study was to identify the most frequent dental anomalies in infant patients attended at the Child Interdisciplinarity Clinic of the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Vitória/ ES, besides the radiographic type in which they are most observed and the sex most affected. A descriptive prevalence study was carried out with analysis of radiographic exams covering the period from 2008 to 2017 of patients with ages ranging from 4 to 14 years attended in the Child Interdisciplinarity Clinic. The sample was of 645 radiographs and 10 types of anomalies were observed distributed in 85 radiographs. The most frequent anomalies in order of prevalence were dental agenesis, followed by supernumerary teeth, root dilaceration, gyroversion, microdontia, impacted transverse tooth, macrodontia, claw cusp, taurodontia, and transmigration. They were observed more in panoramic radiographs and in male patients. No acquired abnormalities were observed, only developmental anomalies, of these, the most frequent anomalies in order of prevalence were dental agenesis, followed by supernumerary teeth.
