Vol. 5 – Number 19 – 2024 Case report Page 42-49 New method of applying microfocused ultrasound in facial rejuvenetion Isabel Priscilla Garcia1 Sheila Picolo2 Mariana Olea Sabatini3 Flávia Tenório4 Samara Fabris5 ABSTRACT The facial aging process is intrinsically associated with muscular action, loss of bone support, sagging skin and decreased volume in the fat compartments of the face. Currently, different procedures have the role of functioning as collagen biostimulators, and one of them is Microfocused Ultrasound, which in addition to stimulating collagen, produces a lifting effect on the Superficial Aponeurotic Muscular System (SMAS), causing immediate contraction, thereby inducing collagen production and dermal thickening. This study reported a case in which the modified microfocused ultrasound technique was used, and after 90 days an improvement was observed in the contour, elasticity, sagging and general appearance of the patient’s skin.
