Vol. 4 – Number 14 – 2023 Case report Page 20-28 Nano growth factors, peptides and vitamin C in scar treatment – an effective approach Roberta de Lucca1 Javier Quilodrán Bazan2 Roberta Fontanari3 Kaio Cezar Andrade4 Julia Freitas5 ABSTRACT The treatment of scars represents a great therapeutic challenge, with often frustrating results. A scar is the result of a skin lesion, intentional or caused by accident. It is secondary to a tissue repair process, which makes it completely unpredictable and variable. It is a functional, aesthetic, and in many cases psychological problem, which can lead to other disorders related to self-esteem, prejudice, and in many cases social isolation. The treatment is complex, and many times the association of techniques may be the best therapy. In this case we chose to perform mesotherapy with a mixture of actives associated with subincision. The objective of this study was to improve the scar appearance in the glabellar region, with the association of two techniques, mesotherapy and cannula subcision.
