It can be one of the reasons that arouse a negative psychological impact, low self-esteem, and even depression. Among the numerous aesthetic treatments, we have microneedling, which has a minimally invasive and safe approach and is affordable. The technique consists of the use of microneedles with varied depths between 0.5 mm; 0.75 mm, 1.0 mm; 1.5 mm; 2.0 mm and can reach up to 3.0 mm, used according to the treatment objective. Microneedles pierce the layers of the skin and cause micro lesions, leading them to a cascade of tissue reactions and generating a local inflammatory process that induces neo collagen and cell regeneration. Microneedling also has the advantage of allowing percutaneous administration of selected assets, optimizing the results through the “drug delivery” technique. The clinical case in which the treatment of acne scars was performed by means of microneedling combined with the topical application of growth factors. Digital color photographs were taken at the beginning of treatment and at the end of treatment. The treatment consisted of eight sessions, with an interval of 20 days between each one, for three months. Preliminary results revealed that there was a satisfactory improvement with tissue regeneration, neocollagenesis, reduction of fibrosis, decrease in the depth of acne scars, with improvement in skin texture and appearance, promoting a better quality of life and positive self-esteem for the patient.
