In this context, the demand for alternative therapies that value nature, the human being and the energies present in each organism has grown. There are some possible reasons why music can produce positive effects on health, such as: music is ubiquitous, emotional, involving, distracting, generates a physical demand, is ambiguous, social, communicative, affects behavior and identity. This systematic review an overview of music therapy as an alternative that can be used in the dental office with anxiety control as the benefit of this practice.
