Vol. 2 – Number 8 – 2021 Case report Page 28-33 Polydiaxonone thread – case report Luciene De Oliveira Martins¹ Victor Hugo Baggio² Sidmárcio Ziroldo³ ABSTRACT This article deals with the use of polidoxanone (PDO) on the face, which is already used in digestive, cardiac, gynecological and other specialties. The research was oriented by the bibliographical review of scholars on the subject and was articulated with the case report submitted to the procedure, with the use of the wire. In postoperative observations with the use of this biodegradable wire, production of new collagen and elastin was confirmed and the effect of polydioxanone was found to result in the synthesis of natural hyaluronic acid.
